Many of us are not familiar with the term digital nomad. According to wikipedia:
Digital nomads are individuals that leverage wireless digital technologies to perform their work duties, and more generally conduct their lifestyle in a nomadic manner. Such workers typically work remotely—from home, coffee shops, public libraries and even from recreational vehicles to accomplish tasks and goals that used to traditionally take place in a single stationary workplace.
One fellow digital nomad, Akheela of CREATE WITH MOM and http://www.torviewtoronto.com fame recently covered the sea turtle conservation effort in Sri Lanka in her recent blog post. Sea turtles have traditionally come to lay eggs in certain locations in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka. There are a numerous private turtle conservation projects along these areas and it makes a great visit! It was our pleasure accompanying fellow digital nomads from http://www.createwithmom.com to a turtle hatchery in southern Sri Lanka.
The digital world has already made a huge difference. I am not talking “arab spring” here. Instead the spotlight on nature, environmental and comservation efforts by like minded individuals as in Create With Mom is worthy of recognition.
